DIU ARV-S (Autonomous Resupply Vessel)
U.S. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), with the U.S. Army
About this opportunity
DIU solicitation for an uncrewed resupply vessel carrying two ~20-ft-equivalent containers (up to 26.5 short tons each) over a ~1,600 nm round trip for Indo-Pacific contested logistics. Round 1 submissions closed 12 June 2026; program scales to dozens of hulls.
The Autonomous Resupply Vessel (ARV-S) is a DIU solicitation, with the U.S. Army as operator, for uncrewed contested-logistics boats able to self-transit roughly 1,600 nm round trip (routine operations in sea state 4, survivable at higher states) and deliver at least two 20-ft-equivalent containers up to ~26.5 short tons each to forward-deployed units. Bids must have a realistic path to producing dozens of hulls, with a prototype on the water within about 12 months of award. The first application window closed 12 June 2026; a further round or awards are expected. A Ukrainian firm would most realistically participate via a U.S. partner/prime or U.S. subsidiary — supplying hull, autonomy, or command-and-control subsystems — since DIU contracting requires U.S.-based performance.
Eligibility
DIU contracting requires U.S.-based performance; a Ukrainian company typically enters via a U.S. prime/partner or U.S.-registered subsidiary, contributing hull, autonomy or C2 subsystems. Bids must show a realistic path to scaled production of dozens of vessels.
