The Agence de l'innovation de défense is the innovation arm of France's defence procurement directorate (DGA) within the Ministry of the Armed Forces, steering schemes such as the rolling, SME-friendly RAPID dual-use grant and the lower-maturity ASTRID research track. Its funding presupposes a French base, so a Ukrainian company enters through a French subsidiary or a partnership with a domestic firm or lab.
