UK Defence Innovation is the Ministry of Defence's consolidated innovation function, stood up in 2025 and delivered with Innovate UK and the defence laboratory Dstl to channel dual-use technology into UK capability. It runs open calls and themed competitions across counter-UAS, autonomy, space and security. Funding flows to UK-registered organisations, so a Ukrainian team enters through a UK entity or partner, with prior approval where required.
Eligibility
Funded work must be by UK-registered organisations; international teams can join via a UK entity/partner with prior approval.
